Welcome to PGDAV Senior Secondary School, where a century-long legacy meets modern educational excellence. Spread across a spacious 3.13-acre campus in Delhi, our school provides a vibrant, nurturing environment dedicated to holistic learning and student development.
Our journey began around 1920 as a Craft School under the Multan DAV Society in undivided India. Following Partition, the institution relocated to Patel Nagar, Delhi, under the visionary leadership of our first Principal, Atma Prakash Batra ji. A pivotal transition occurred in 1984 when the school officially merged with the DAV College Managing Committee and Trust, evolving over the years into the PGDAV Senior Secondary School we know today. While the school once offered a Science stream, it has strategically adapted to modern educational demands and now proudly specializes in robust, high-achieving streams for Commerce and Arts.
Our campus has steadily grown from a single block into an expansive three-block facility designed to meet every student's needs. Today, it features 33 total classrooms, highlighted by 4 interactive Smart Classrooms that bring digital learning to life. Alongside our standard laboratory, we host a modern, hands-on STEM Lab to foster innovation and scientific curiosity. The campus also boasts an extensive library, a spacious main hall, and two newly upgraded sanitation blocks, with infrastructure continuously expanding thanks to the generous support of community partners like Arlaka ji and Lakshmi Traders.
At PGDAV, we firmly believe that physical development is just as vital as academic success. Equipped with a dedicated Sports Room and expert training, our athletes consistently achieve top honors on regional and national stages. Our powerhouse hockey team recently distinguished themselves as National Runners-Up after an incredible performance at the DAV National tournament, while our Kabaddi team also proudly secured a tournament Runner-Up finish. From track and field to interactive classrooms, we remain committed to stepping boldly into the future while staying true to our rich heritage.
